High Liner Foods Wins 2015 Seafood Excellence Best New Foodservice Product Award for Pulled BBQ Salmon!
The 2015 Seafood Excellence Award winners were announced at the Seafood Expo North America in Boston on Sunday, and we are excited to share that our Pulled BBQ Salmon is the winner of the Best New Foodservice Product award!
The annual competition picks out the best new seafood products that were selected from more than 70 entries in the exposition's New Product Showcase. The competition is judged by three seafood industry experts, who look at taste profile, eating experience, packaging, market potential, convenience, nutritional value and originality.
"It's like the Oscars," said James Labelle, Vice President of Foodservice Marketing at High Liner Foods. "It's very exciting. We're leaders, and our role is to help grow interest in seafood in general with new products."
Winners of the awards were selected from a group of finalists during a live judging by a panel of seafood buyers and experts from the Retail and Foodservice industries. The Awards recognize the product leaders in the North American seafood market.
High Liner Foods is very proud to have won this award for a second year in a row. At the 2014 Seafood Expo, High Liner was awarded the Best New Foodservice Product award for our Flame-Seared Guinness Barbeque Glazed Atlantic Salmon.
